This morning I was up a 0600 working on my journal. I got my website up to date. This morning Rod made breakfast of eggs ad toast with bacon.   It is kind of gloomy out this morning. The sky is gray and it is raining on and off again. We leave Friday Harbor about 0930 and head over to Deer Harbor.

Deer Harbor is only a short distance away. It is weird to be powering along and have pleasure boats around you coming and going. It seems like we have seen view few cruisers until the last few days. Now they are everywhere. We get into Deer Harbor around 1030 and find no one at the TYC outstation. We tie to the dock.  It is raining out. I go below and check out whether or not I can get an internet connection on my personal phone. I can so I lay around all day and watch YouTube videos. Before I know it is late in the afternoon. Everyone want to go out and have a hamburger for dinner. We can get them at the head of the dock from a little grill that is there.

Prior to getting my hamburger I go for a short walk to take some pictures and video of Deer Harbor. I walk up to the little park they have up the street a little from the marina. As luck would have it while I was walking it didn’t rain. I walking along the trail as it snake along the water front through the underbrush. When the trail had a view point of the marina I snapped a few pictures. The park has some fruit trees in it. Right now the apple trees had some fruit on the tree, and apple on the ground. I was surprised not to see any deer in the park. I pick two apples, one for Rod and one for Frank.

The hamburger and fries at the grill were excellent. We had to order our burgers around 1545 because the grill closes at 4 pm (new after labor day hours). The burger hit the spot considering we just snacked on stuff afternoon. After having my hamburger, I of course had to have a two scoop waffle cone for dessert.

After dinner it hit me that my adventure is slowly coming to the end. I only have a few more days left. I’ll be glad to get the boat home, but I will not be glad to stop traveling on Nordic Sun II.   The next few days we will be working our way closer and closer to Tacoma.

After dinner I went back to watching videos online, until it was time to go to sleep.
